Over the last few months I have been building an MPCNC. It's been a massive learning curve - especially with having to customise my own µCNC firmware for my setup. I had some problems with losing Z-steps, but it looks like it was EMI from the router power cable - which was just lying next to the Z-axis cable before I had the drag chains installed. Solved by running the router power cable to the right and back under the table to the electronics box, where it's connected to a relay.
This is a major achievement. A completed job with no lost steps and the tool was in the exactly correct position at the end. Now on to making things!
